Day 3 - Chasing the 10 minute mile

Fortunately I don't have any fire drill this morning so I decided its time to put health as a priority. It was a case of setting aside time, and organize it to make it possible. But it doesn't always happen. Yesterday I tried to make it happen with everything packed but too many meetings and locations I have to be. Right, at the end of the day it's all about physics.

Last night I felt moments of shortness of breath. It was almost like my body forgot to breath and when I realized, I was out of breath catching up. Despite the kids yelling and screaming I walked away for a moment and googled what maybe happening to me. Could it be an upcoming heart attack or lung condition? Or could it be just normal anxiety? Oh is there anything normal in anxiety? Anyhow will keep this a potential wake up all shall we?

Back to exercising, I did 2.5 miles under 25 minutes so that's a record for staying under 10 minute mile. My legs are still sore from day 1 so thank God for making it.

I went over to the gym section but I have yet to try those. I lifted those years ago and did pretty well with toning but this time I figured I better have a program and know what I am doing this 6 months.

Ok I am now way hungry... It's almost noon time...

Day 2 - Old habits never dies

Today was one hectic day and as much as I dreaded training, I had the plan for it. I have the bag all packed. But I also had production issues to deal with. At the end of the day, 4 work priorities took up all the time I would have for running.

Reflecting the past few months, work has always been like this. So at each pondering moments, it's about how to deal with random events and to be able to keep the training schedule. I knew I have to do this.

Driving back on the radio talked about how busy people focus on accumulating wealth that ultimate are not theirs to keep when you die. The one thing we get to keep is our health. So that got me all excited about exercising for 10 minutes before reality bites.

I guess I now need to focus on not letting my schedule getting in the way. Besides all the important (must do) things, I need to carve out the time. And that goes for the 150 projects I want to get done before death. Yikes!

Anyway, let's keep up the blog at least as a reminder of the number of days achieved versus the misses.

Day 1 - Feeling Good

Day one always feels good but given so many failures along the way it's important to have this blog to power my will. Let the world make me accountable...

Good start today with 2.53 miles in 26.5 minutes. Almost 300 cal burnt, but that's not even a Big Mac burger... Working out is tough.

In addition I am fighting for time starting this at 4pm and trying to pick up the kids by 5 ish.

No Nike Fuel Band, no fancy apps. We are gonna do it the raw Rocky way... Sweat it out...

As a bonus I did have the luxury of watching "The Tourist" while on the machine. That's Johnny in the picture but of course it's a bigger pleasure to watch Angelina Jolie.

At the Beginning...

Inspired by 杜汶澤, Sei Fei Jei is going to try out this 6 month training program. We are going to use this blog to log the trial and tribulations during the next 6 months...
